Daddy's FIRST Father's Day

We celebrated Andy's first father's day this year on Sunday, June 21st!
Peyton and I woke up as usual at 5am. As daddy always does the morning bottle feeding, I decided since it was "Daddy's day"I would do the feeding and let Andy sleep in!
Peyton and I made some cinnamon muffins and finished up wrapping Daddy's gifts!
When Andy woke up he was surprised with a couple gifts and some cute Father's day signs hanging up! I believe he loved every present he got, the biggest gift of all.. Peyton himself.
Earlier in the week I took Peyton to have some professional pictures taken with some of his Daddy's belongings- they turned out amazing!! I was able to frame a few for Andy and some of the other family members. (Pics posted)
After breakfast and enjoying opening his presents I surprised Andy by what I though was going to be great- a ONE hour foot massage! It turned out to be a little to rough and not as great as the idea itself sounded :(
Andy took Peyton on a long hour walk in his jogger (while I got to take a cat nap).
We then headed up to Vikki & Dave's for the afternoon lunch and time with the family! We had a GREAT time as always up at their house.
I think overall Andy really enjoyed his First Father's Day, well at least I hope he did! :)

"You can take me out of Texas, but you can't take the Texas out of me"!

Our first official family vacation began....

We left San Jose on Thursday, May 28 early in the morning! We jumped on the plane along with Vikki and headed to Dallas. We were so worried about how lil Peyton was going to do on the plane but as usual he was the quite, mellow baby he usually is!
We stayed in Dallas visiting both Mema & Grandad until Sunday. During the Dallas stay we also got the chance to visit with other family & friends too! Andy got the chance to show me were he grew up, his home and school and the old sail boat too! We were having such a great time, and I was so happy myself to finally meet the friends of the family who Andy speak very highly of.
After a few days of fun, along came the Pearce Pandemic! Unfortunately this 24 hour virus took a total of 7 of us down! Ughhh! We were able to overcome the virus and HEAD to Austin & Gruene on Sunday!!

Austin & Gruene, TEXAS

Well as we made our way over to Austin to pick up Aunt Jan for just a quick minute, we headed to Gruene to enjoy the rest of our vacation! The week was FILLED with lots and lots of family!!
Andy and I were able to float the river with cousin Christina and Aunt Elisa while Grandma Pearce watched Peyton. We went on a boat ride with Uncle Jim, along with Peyton! He enjoyed most of the boat ride, but it was a little over the top HOT that day too. We shopped alot in downtown Gruene, visited The GRUENE HALL, went to the Schlitterbahn Waterpark, had a ton of playtime in the Condo pool and experienced the BEST Ice Cream in the World... Blue Bell! On this trip I discoverd my favorite Ice cream flavor of all time, Blackberry Cobbler:) I WISH I could have some more- SO BADLY! We had such a great trip and were SO happy to see all of our extended family! We miss Texas!
